Hey there! If you don't know, I have an Instagram (bobicurls), and as I was using that app I was looking at a lot of hairposts. They all had some really cool stuff, but what I kept on seeing was this french braid bun (picture above). I thought it was pretty cute, but there was something missing.... So, I did the same thing on my neighbor's hair (picture below), but I tweeked it a bit :).

As you can see, I made it a lot more fancy. This is the kind of bun that you can definetly wear at a wedding!! It's gorgeous, retro and you should try it!
I also did a more loose, everyday bun (picture below) which is basically the same thing as the picture on the top of this post, except I did a messy bun.

Twist-Out

Hey Girls! As you can you can tell from the picture above this is a twist-out post =). I love twist-outs! They are easy, fun and a great thing to do if you are getting kinda bored with your hair or if you  are just wanting to do something new.
This twist-out ,however, is different. This is not the, what I would call, "picture perfect" kind of twist-out... This is more dread-like kind of twist-out. I'm not a fan of dreads, but I do love doing this look because it is very different, quick, easy, and stylish.

So, the first thing I did after I had washed my hair was apply a little bit of kinky curly on my hair, so that it wouldn't frizz so easily. Then, after it dried a bit, I twisted all of my hair... Now, the size of your braids really don't matter because it all depends on how you want it to look when you untwist it. I like to do smaller braids in the back to show off my length and a little bit bigger braids in the front to frame my face nicely =).
I even love having my hair just like this and in the photo above you can see that I wore a hat to make the hair-do more fun!

And this is what my hair looks like untwisted =). So, yeah! Really fun, really different, and just something new. I love changing my look with my hair and clothes because I love trying new things that nobody else does, so I hope you guys like it and you can try it too!

Product Review: CURLS

Hey everyone! It's been way too long since my last blog post and I apologize for that! Life's just been so busy with school, getting my permit, school, learning how to drive, school, getting ready for Thanksgiving and did I say SCHOOL?! I'm so glad that I'm no on Thanksgiving break!

Anyway, this post is gonna be a product review post on some CURLS products that were sent to me. It includes: Cocnut Sublime Conditioner, Quenched Curls Moisturizer, and Curl Gel-les'c (pronounced Curl Jealousy).

I'll start with the Conditioner. The Conditioner is pretty good. It worked great when I tried it, but it was hard to finger comb my hair, so I used a wide-toothed comb and then it worked fine. I rinsed my hair with cold water (I always rinse my hair with cold water after it's detangled) but I left some product in and then I applied the Moisturizer.
The moisturizer is pretty liquidy so I put some on my hand, separated my hair into four sections, then applied it all over. This moisturizer works very well! I have no frizz after I use this product!
Next, I scrunched my ends with the "gel".

These products are good and I love how each of them have such a nice fruity/candy-like smell to them! The only complaint I have is about the moisturizer and gel. After I used them a couple times, when I would wet my hair it would feel very squeaky and it was difficult to detangle my hair.

You can get the full Professional line of CURLS at www.curls.biz and you can get CURL Gel-les'c at Target.

By the way, they also have a twitter account, so follow them @frizzfreeCURLS  !!

Product Reveiw: Paul Mitchell The Conditioner

Hey everyone! Today I am finally reviewing the Paul Mitchell Conditioner! I've heard a lot about this product and my mom and I decided that we should try it.

My mom tried it first and hated it. She said that it made her hair feel hard and stringy. When I tried it the first thing I noticed was the color... Blue! This is definitely not a natural product! The smell was also very different to me. My mom described it as a "salon" product smell.
It worked pretty good though. I could finger comb my hair easy and it made my curls look nice. I don't like it as much as I like the Tresseme Conditioner, but it works.
The one thing I do love about it is that it comes in such a huge container! As you can see in the picture on the top left it is a lot bigger than all of the other products I've reviewed so far.

My mom and I bought it at a beauty store for $22.99 (we got the 33.8 fl. oz.).

The photos on the right are of what my hair looked like when I used The Conditioner.
My hair is still a little damp in these photos.

BTW: Sorry the photos didn't turn out too good:(... If you really want to see them I have them on my Twitter account (Natcurlygirlz) and on my Instagram (Bobicurls).
Thank you!!

Product review: Tresseme Conditioner

Hey, girls! I have been experimenting with some other products this week and I am very impressed with the results! I have heard a lot of people talk about Tresseme and say how it's their "Staple", they could never do their hair without it; etc. Well, finally, one day my mom decided to buy it and we have tried it out. She got the Tresseme Nourishing Moisture conditioner.

I LOVE this product it works great and the best thing about it is... no frizz! I'm serious! I think the way I applied this product helped me have less frizz. I also have started to finger comb my hair and that has reduced my frizz as well! I put it in as a leave-in as well as a conditioner, so I put the product on my hands, run my fingers through sections of my hair (when it's soaking wet, of course), and I don't rinse it out.  My first day hair was great and my second day hair (today) even better! For my hair type, I think this can last my curls up to 3-4 days.
The only thing I don't like about this conditioner is that it has some ingredients that I don't really like putting in my hair. It's silicone-free, but there are lots of different alcohol ingredients in it and Fragrance.

Curly Girlz and Hats: The Beret

When it comes to hats and us 3bs-4cs it can be difficult, stressful, and sometimes extremely annoying! Especially when our hair poofs and we put on a hat and end up looking like a mushroom!
So, I'm going to start doing a lot of hat posts with some helpful tips on how to wear all of your favorite hats.
Please feel free to leave a comment, Facebook or Tweet to request a post on a certain type of hat that you want to see.

This post is on the Beret hat...

The Beret

I pinned the front of the Beret so that it could stay in place and then left the back just as it was.
I love the look of this hat! It's very simple and very pretty. I think the best way to wear your hair with this hat is to have it down or in a bun with little pieces of hair pulled out in the front to give it a messy look. While doing your bun be sure to pin it really close to your head, so that it doesn't poke out too much.
Have fun with it!

Quickdo: Side Braid

This past Monday me and my family were invited over to our friends house and this is the hairstyle that I did.
I had just washed and combed out my hair and didn't know what I wanted to do with it... Do you ever have those days? When you have just done your hair and you look at it in the mirror and think "What in the world am I gonna do with you today?". Well, I was having one of those days! I didn't have a lot of time to get ready so I figured I would do a simple side braid.
To make it look more formal and unique I just loosened it up a lot and pulled out lots of strands of hair out of the braid. Then I tied a black ribbon at the end of the braid to give it an even more cool look.
This is a great quickdo! It's fast, simple, and it's great when you want to focus on accessories with your outfit.
